What's funny is that the bad guy always wants to make entire world bad, there's no fun, all darkness, everyone's dead... Why then he has followers? Don't they want some fun in life at all?
Anyways, I think the only reason to watch this fantasy is Bridget Regan, who plays Kahlan, a witch who can "confess" by looking into your eyes and also Olympic gold medalist in fencing :)
Here's a video of her interview at Jimmy Kimmel's show. In the series she wears long medieval looking clothes. Apparently, in real life she likes short dresses, and if you watch a video you'll know why she should keep doing it :)
