Goldman staff share $16bn in bonus bonanza

Staff at Goldman Sachs will share a record $16.46 billion (£8.36 billion) after the investment bank lifted pre-tax profits for the year to the end of last month by 76 per cent to $14.5 billion.

On average, the firm’s 26,000 staff can expect to receive at least $621,906 (£316,079) each. But bonuses will vary according to how much each individual or division has made for the company.

Fannie Mae completed re-statement of financials

It's all over the news. What most reports fail to notice is the cost of the re-statement effort. According to 10k filing, page 67, it's 1.3 billion dollars.

USIC - United States Industry Coalition

I mean some people from USIC yesterday at Kazakh embassy in Washington, DC. There was a reception to celebrate 15 years of independence. They brought a lot of ethnic food, and the place was packed. I met many friends, and spend a bit too much time talking with them instead of "networking" :)

Karen Hughes was present, as well as a bunch of people from the Hill. I saw many military men and women, diplomats and nicely dressed ladies.
