On the morning of 8th June the planet Venus will pass between the Earth and the Sun, appearing as a black circle drifting across the face of the Sun.
Only six of these transits have ever been observed - the first in 1639 and the most recent in 1882. No-one alive today has ever seen a transit of Venus.
This is Argyn's blog. I comment on topics of my interests such as software, math, finance, and music. Also, I write about local events in Northern Virginia, USA and all things related to Kazakhstan
