I mean some people from USIC yesterday at Kazakh embassy in Washington, DC. There was a reception to celebrate 15 years of independence. They brought a lot of ethnic food, and the place was packed. I met many friends, and spend a bit too much time talking with them instead of "networking" :)
Karen Hughes was present, as well as a bunch of people from the Hill. I saw many military men and women, diplomats and nicely dressed ladies.
